NMBU Campus East

In a team with Oslo Works architecture studio and Edit landscape architect studio, we are looking at strategies for development of the Eastern Campus for NMBU, the Norwegian University of Life Science. We are working in a parallel commission to study the different possibilities for transformation into one of the world's most sustainable and attractive campuses. The university wants to attract businesses, competence and strategic investments, to create sustainable value development and co-creation with relevant actors, such as students and academia, business, civil society and the local inhabitants. The goal is to be an attractive and lively innovation district. For the first phase, this should happen through temporary activity, participatory processes and visualising future scenarios to get the right investors onboard.

NMBU’s own student initiative Urban Lab is working with public / student participation and involvement on this project, to make sure both teams gets valuable insight and perspectives from the people that are or will be directly affected by the development. At the end of March 2022, UrbanLab hosted a lab/workshop at NMBU with engagement from around hundred students. The event was a great success!

Here are some pictures from the workshop and our field trip at NMBU at the beginning of March 2022.
